Our Story

My Heart in a Box

Kindness Served is my heart in a box.

I've always had a heart for people. Caring for others, offering encouragement, and finding meaningful ways to show up for someone have always been important to me.

My background in mental health counseling deepened my understanding of something I've long believed: people need to feel seen, valued, supported, and loved. And sometimes, the simplest gestures can make the greatest difference.

Cooking has always been one of my gifts and passions. There's something special about preparing a meal for someone, knowing that something made with your hands can bring comfort, create joy, or simply make a difficult day a little easier.

Kindness Served brings those two parts of my heart together: my passion for cooking and my purpose of serving others.

While Kindness Served began as a vision God placed on my heart, it is also a family endeavor. With my husband and son alongside me, we're building something rooted in love, service, and a shared belief in the power of kindness. My hope is that this business becomes more than something we build together. I want it to reflect the values we hold dear and create a legacy of kindness that reaches far beyond our family.

I created The Kindness Box as a way to help people express what isn't always easy to put into words. Whether someone is celebrating a milestone, navigating a difficult season, welcoming a new beginning, or simply needs to know they're being thought of, I wanted to create a meaningful way to say, "I care about you."

Every box is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully packaged, and filled with intention. Because to me, it's never just about the food. It's about the person receiving it and the love behind the gesture.

And I believe kindness should extend even further.

Through our partnership with A Home For Everyone in DeKalb, we're working to share that same care with individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. It's another way to live out the belief that everyone deserves to feel valued and remembered.

I believe God has placed me here for this moment. This journey has required faith, patience, and perseverance, and I'm grateful for every step that has brought me here.

Kindness Served is more than a business to me. It's purpose in action.

My prayer is that every Kindness Box brings comfort, creates connection, and reminds someone that they matter.

I'm simply grateful to be here, doing something I love, in service to others.

With gratitude,
